Chef Works Honored for Charitable Services
SAN DIEGO (PRWEB) December 28, 2017 -- Chef Works Inc., a global leader in culinary and hospitality apparel, is proud to announce that it was recently honored with a special recognition award at the 2nd Annual Paving Great Futures Gala.
Through its charitable wing, Chef Works Cares, Chef Works recently made a grant donation of $25,000 to Paving Great Futures with the hopes of helping the non-profit become more self-sustaining.
“We are constantly inspired by the people and projects that come our way,” said Cynthia McCormick, who spearheads Chef Works’ charitable projects. “If Chef Works can provide the financial backing to see a program through, then in our minds it is mission accomplished. We found such a program with Paving Great Futures.”
Chef Works also teamed up with Paving Great Futures to provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for select families. Chef Works’ employees donated 100 percent of the ingredients – plus presents – for the Christmas meals.
Paving Great Futures, a nonprofit organization based in San Diego, empowers community members through personal economic development to gain the necessary tools for financial independence.
“Chef Works has provided guidance and resources to Paving Great Futures and we are grateful,” said Armand King, chief operating officer for Paving Great Futures. “When it came time to select our honorees, it was a given that Chef Works would be selected for the great things they have done and the future relationship we are building with them.”
