“Frog in My Basement”: a charming narrative that tells of a frog’s moments of compassion and belongingness inside a human home with an affectionate family. “Frog in My Basement” is the creation of published author Cheryl Kammerzell, a farm wife who loves journaling and writing stories.
Kammerzell shares, “I wrote ‘Frog in My Basement’ to read to my granddaughter. She would stay with us on the farm for a week every summer. She said she could dress herself one day and was having a snack using her tiny tea set.
“She was my little vegetable garden helper. She had pink boots and purple gloves with pink wheelbarrow and pink tools when helping me to pick cucumbers. She helped me prepare the cucumbers to make dill pickles to can.
“She and Grandpa K would try to catch a frog in the garden. She would go with Grandpa K to dig up her own potatoes using her tools. They were great memories of my time with her on the farm. I wanted this book to be for the grandparents to read to the little ones at bedtime so they would have sweet dreams.”
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Cheryl Kammerzell’s new book shows an awe-inspiring tenderness between people and animals that paint a wonderful picture of a world filled with goodness and grace.
This book is written for every child to guide them toward positivity and appreciation for nature’s grandness.
