Chicago Datacenter Creates Suite of Disaster Recovery Services Targeting Small Business

The new suite of DR services focuses on key metrics including how long a business can be off-line, and how much data can be lost during an emergency event. NetSource has identified four key break points when setting up this new disaster recovery suite of services. NetSource uses a metric called (RTO) or Recovery time objective. The RTO is a value for how long a customer can afford to have their hosting environment down and off-line. A customer can select objectives of under 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day, or 1 week. Another criteria that NetSource identifies with a customer is called the (RPO) or Recovery Point Objective. This value measures how fresh the data at the DR location needs to be when the system comes back on-line. A customer can select the level of disaster recovery service that is required to protect their own business data. When DR is explained to clients in these simple terms it is much easier for them to see beyond the cost versus objective paradox that is associated with disaster recovery.
NetSource's new DR suite includes 4 basic packages that can be modified to an individual's needs. The services include 1) Basic DR Backups, 2) DR Backups with Data Replication, 3) DR Backups with Geo Load Balancing, and 4) DR Backups with Clustering.
