Children’s Hunger Fund to Deliver the “Quarter Million Mission”
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) November 26, 2013 -- Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) is mobilizing over 7,000 volunteers across the nation to wrap 250,000 cuddly toys as part of their “Quarter Million Mission” program this Christmas season.
“This is our biggest year yet,” says Dave Phillips, Children’s Hunger Fund president. “These toys will put smiles on the faces of children who might otherwise get nothing for Christmas. It’s all part of our ‘Quarter Million Mission’ in which we hope to deliver not only 250,000 toys, but also 250,000 meals to needy families.”
Ty, Inc. has generously donated the toys for a total of eleven events held in various cities across the country, including Los Angeles, San Antonio, Dallas, and Chicago.
CHF has hosted its annual toy wrap for over twenty years, each year seeing more and more volunteers joining in to help children.
“We are calling on individuals, businesses, groups and churches to rise up and help those in need in our communities and around the world,” Phillips said. “The Toy Wraps draw attention to the work that is ahead of us to help relieve hunger and suffering in the coming year.”
In addition to Ty Inc., other generous sponsors like USANA Health Sciences, Baskin-Robbins, Hilton Palacio del Rio, Pepsi-Co, Goya Foods, Score Big, and Chick-fil-A all help to make these events possible.
All are invited to participate in providing the 250,000 meals by visiting ChildrensHungerFund.org/donate.
