Chitimacha Louisiana Open Previews 24th Year: Celebrity Hole In One Field Announced
Charenton, LA (PRWEB) March 19, 2015 -- With the 24th Annual Chitimacha Louisiana Open coming to town, organizers previewed what to expect today at a press conference at Mr. Lester's inside Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel, including the field for this year's Celebrity Hole-In-One Competition on Sunday afternoon. The event starts tournament week with 10 local celebrities, who will all take a swing for their favorite charity. If anyone sinks the shot, their charity will receive $10,000. If no one achieves a hole-in-one, the celebrity closest to the hole will win $1,500 for their charity. This year's field includes:

The relationship between the Louisiana Open and the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana is one of the top 5 tournament/sponsor relationships in all of the PGA sanctioned events.
In addition to its charitable component, the tournament also provides a significant boost to the local economy.
"When you consider the hotels, cars, food, gas, it quickly adds up. Add in the operating budget for the tournament of nearly a $1 million and the expected immediate impact is $2 million for one week," said Danny Jones, the tournament's executive director.
According to LCVC, the final impact over the course of the entire year is expected to be well over $7 million dollars.
