LONDON (PRWEB) December 04, 2020
Chordant (http://www.chordant.io) today announced that Crown Commercial Services (CCS) has renewed and extended its agreement with Chordant to offer Convex Mobility Data Marketplace services, as well as oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace services, to public sector customers throughout the UK via the G-Cloud 12 marketplace for cloud-based services.
Chordant’s new Mobility Data Exchange, Convex, enables new mobility solutions by sharing, transforming and integrating dynamic mobility data between organisations and systems. Sitting at the intersection between Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Intelligent Transport Infrastructure, Digitised Freight and Logistics and Mobility-based Services, the facility collaborates with different parts of the mobility eco-system to enable data-driven initiatives that will help governments ensure that transport is safer, cleaner, and better.
The oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace is a cloud-based platform that allows organisations across the UK public sector, including central and local governments and transport services, to access previously isolated and inaccessible data about the real-time operation of towns and cities and their transport and mobility services. By opening their data in a platform such as this, local governments can gain new insights, improve decisions and build intelligent services that significantly improve the lives of its citizens.
“I am honored by the trust CCS has awarded to Chordant to play a key role towards the UK public sector that continues to invest and accelerate the quality of its services through digital innovation for the good of the citizens and the community,” says Chordant’s President, Mika Rasinkangas.
Chordant has also made its data integration services available through G-Cloud. These services help organisations integrate their systems, sensors and data. Chordant offers such services for public sector organisations where the expertise may not naturally exist or where data may involve very diverse data systems, formats, and granularity.
CCS’s vision is to deliver value for the nation through outstanding commercial capability and quality customer service. Its procurement arrangements can be used by central government departments and organisations across the public sector including local government, health, education, not-for-profit and devolved administrations.
This agreement is fully EU compliant, saving customers the time and money associated with conducting their own procurement exercise. Through the competitive tender process and regular bench-marking, CCS ensures government customers have access to the most competitive deals. Suppliers are carefully evaluated during the tender process and pre-agreed terms and conditions offer sound contractual safeguards.
