Christ Presbyterian Church Launches New Midtown-Nashville Location
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) September 30, 2015 -- On October 4, 2015, Christ Presbyterian Church, a PCA church in Nashville, TN, will open a second location (“CPC Intown”) at Scarritt Bennett Center in midtown Nashville. Services will be held in Wightman Chapel; CPC Kids will meet in Bennett Hall. The additional church location will serve existing and future attendees of Christ Presbyterian Church who live, work, and play in the Belmont, Vanderbilt, midtown, and downtown Nashville neighborhoods. CPC Intown will meet Sundays from 9:30-10:45 a.m. under the leadership of CPC Intown Pastor Stacey Croft, former Campus Minister and Chaplain with Reformed University Fellowship at Vanderbilt University. Pastor Croft and Senior Pastor Scott Sauls will be the primary Sunday morning teachers at the new location.
Plans for the new CPC Intown location have been in motion for nearly one year – since CPC’s Administrative Commission of the Session unanimously passed a motion in September 2014 to develop a second church location closer to downtown Nashville.
“Since the beginning, we have intended for the new campus to be a multi-generational, cross-cultural, neighborhood-centered expression of our church’s ministry and focus,” says Sauls. “After church leadership formally agreed that a second location should be pursued, we began assessing the needs and desires of our church’s members and friends at the beginning of 2015. These early gatherings helped shape the vision for CPC Intown, while also providing guidance in the location scouting process. We are very pleased to be gathering in the Scarritt Bennett Chapel.”
In addition to launching a new location, Christ Presbyterian Church has played host to several public events this fall, including Q Commons, http://www.christpres.org/q (Sept. 24), a national event discussing cultural questions that matter, and Party on the Lawn, http://www.christpres.org/party (Sept. 27), a lawn party that included food trucks, games, music, a car show, and much more.
“It’s been a busy season in the life of our church,” says CPC Intown Pastor Stacey Croft. “We are excited to gather with our Nashville friends and neighbors at CPC and throughout Nashville in Connect Groups to discuss what it means to follow Jesus in his mission of loving people, places, and things to life.
