LOS GATOS, Calif. (PRWEB) February 14, 2023
Christie's International Real Estate Sereno announced that it has created an additional fund within its Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation. The organization has committed to providing $100,000 in grants to local organizations within the Education Fund in 2023 to help increase education access to improve the local communities' health and resilience.
"Education and poverty are directly linked, and lack of access to quality education is the primary predictor of passing poverty from one generation to the next. We believe that receiving an education is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of generational poverty and achieve financial stability for future generations, so we are thrilled to commit to this significant cause," shared Kirsty Duncan, Director of Giving and Corporate Social at Christie's International Real Estate Sereno.
Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation will provide $100,000 in grants to various organizations in the Education sector throughout 2023, including Resource Area For Teaching (RAFT), MVLAScholars, and 10,000 Degrees. Organizations can apply for one Education Fund grant for $2,500 per fiscal year.
Founded in 2012, Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation, has donated over $5.2M to 400 local charities and community organizations.
In addition to the newly launched Education Fund, Sereno 1% For Good Charitable Foundation also offers grants through two other funds.
The Ecosystem Fund is dedicated to supporting everything from mental health to our four-legged friends and has helped organizations like Momentum for Health, Early Alert Canines, and Cancer Commons. Organizations can apply for one Ecosystem Fund grant for $2,500 per fiscal year.
The Equity & Access Fund is dedicated to supporting equal access to economic opportunity, nutritious food, and safe housing, and has helped organizations like the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center, Hunger at Home, and Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence. Organizations can apply for one Equity & Access Fund grant for $2,500 per fiscal year.
"We have always viewed our responsibility as a business in simple terms. In exchange for the opportunity to conduct business within our communities, we have an obligation and duty to find ways to return that gift. Our Sereno 1% for Good Charitable Foundation is our hopeful manifestation of this relationship. It is an extension of what we believe to be our highest purpose as a successful organization. We are incredibly grateful to see it continue to evolve and flourish with the addition of the Education Fund and know we have only just begun to define how we can support and positively impact the communities we serve," shared Ryan Iwanaga, Co-Founder and Chief Experience Officer at Christie's Sereno.
