Chuck Fleischer Named Managing Broker for Real in Texas
Real estate executive Chuck Fleischer joins Real as managing broker for the state of Texas
NEW YORK, May 16, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Real announced today that it has named seasoned real estate executive Chuck Fleischer as managing broker for the state of Texas. In his role, Fleischer will be responsible for managing compliance and providing training and guidance to Real's agents across the state of Texas.
"I'm very excited to be named managing broker for an organization as agent-focused as Real," says Fleischer, a Colorado native who has lived in Texas for 46 years. "What I enjoy most is serving agents and helping them get better, and that is something Real and I have in common."
Fleischer likes to say he's been an entrepreneur since he got his first paper route when he was 12 years old. Earlier in his career he ran businesses in the recruitment and shipping industries. For the last 15 years he has operated as a broker in the state of Texas—where he has run multiple real estate organizations, including a RE/MAX franchise in Dallas.
In his day-to-day, Fleischer will assist agents with all of their real estate-related concerns: reviewing files, answering contract questions, and ensuring compliance. Fleischer aims to provide Real's Texas agents with what he calls "on demand training"—the ability to go deep on a subject with an agent whenever a question arises.
"People remember things so much better when it is relevant to whatever it is they are doing right now," Fleischer explains. "So when an agent asks me, say, a contract question, I try and make it a teachable moment, because that is more effective than having them recall something they learned in a class a year ago."
To become a more effective teacher, Fleischer is currently in the process of acquiring his instructor's license from the Texas Real Estate Commission, which will allow him to provide continuing education to agents. He is also developing a series of online trainings based on questions and concerns that his agents have brought to him.
In terms of Real's ambitions in the state of Texas, Fleischer's addition to the Real team underscore's Real's focus on forward-looking agents.
"Every brokerage has an open seat for an agent, but I always felt that seat is better served empty than filled by someone who isn't willing to learn," Fleischer says. "We are recruiting the best of the motivated; and I'd rather train someone new on our way of doing things than retrain someone who is stuck in the old ways of doing business."
Fleischer currently resides in Richardson, Texas with his wife Barbara and their German Shepherd. Thanks to Real's mobile technology, he is able to streamline and expedit broker services to agents.
"With the Real mobile app, my business goes with me wherever I go," Fleischer says. "This makes it possible to help agents anytime, anywhere."
For agents interested in joining the Real team in Texas, Fleischer has a pitch:
"There is going to be a lot of shakeup in the real estate industry over the next few years and the brokerages that end up on top are going to be those that keep their agents well trained, well paid, and excited about their careers," Fleischer says. "For me that's Real—an organization that is service oriented and focused on making the agent better."
