CICB Takes the Stage to Provide an Overview of the Crane Operator Requirements

HOUSTON, Aug. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Crane Inspection & Certification Bureau (CICB), Texas' leading safety training facility, furthers its endeavor to educate the construction industry at Build Expo USA in Houston, TX.

The Expo, in Houston on August 14-15, has been rated the number one trade show for contractors, with networking opportunities, exhibitions, educational seminars and workshops and product demonstrations. The two-day exposition is held annually at seven cities around the country.

CICB's Subject Matter Expert, John O'Connor, will present an overview of OSHA's Mobile Crane Operator requirements during the Expo. "There is still some confusion and uncertainty in the industry on OSHA's final ruling from November of last year." said John O'Connor. "Since OSHA issued the final rule, there have been many questions relating to the certification and evaluation of crane operators. John O'Connor, the Manager of CICB's Houston Operations, has 30+ years of experience in the industry training, inspecting and lift planning for various types of lifting and earth moving equipment. A senior instructor/inspector at CICB, John has co-authored multiple training manuals, developed hands-on and classroom training for crane and rigging safety programs, is a maritime surveyor under 29 CFR Part 1919, and provides expert witness testimony and litigation support for accidents involving cranes/material handling equipment.
