In addition to making the lives of aviation managers easier during budget or performance review time, the AirComp Calculator tracks trends in Business Aviation in real time because the database is updated quarterly, not yearly.

Dr. Chris Broyhill, one of the industry’s most respected authorities on business aviation compensation, has created the AirComp Calculator to satisfy the need for scientific compensation analysis in the industry. “The AirComp Calculator is an invaluable tool to help aviation managers take care of their team,” Dr. Broyhill commented. “In addition to making the lives of aviation managers easier during budget or performance review time, the AirComp Calculator tracks trends in Business Aviation in real time because the database is updated quarterly, not yearly.”
The AirComp Calculator uses Dr. Broyhill’s proprietary methodology which includes multiple validated aviation compensation surveys along with data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to generate precise compensation ranges at the average, 50th, 75th, and 90th percentile levels. Currently, the AirComp Calculator can generate compensation ranges for 14 positions, 5 jet classes, and 21 locations throughout the U.S. But, as the subscriber base expands, so will the power of the Calculator.
AirComp Calculator provides on-screen and a printable report of results. User queries are stored within the AirComp Calculator’s secure server. Pdf reports can be generated for each/all queries within specific date ranges.
“All compensation surveys are not created equal. Some surveys, like those available through pilot networking or recruiting websites, may not be statistically valid,” says Dr. Broyhill. “Yet even when valid compensation surveys are used, it is difficult to select the right number due to the way the data is presented. The AirComp Calculator takes validated survey data to the next level and provides users with a range of compensation that is scientifically generated and easy to interpret.”
