CityGrows Wins Sixth Annual Women Founders Network Fast Pitch Competition

Women Founders Network ("WFN") today announced Catherine Geanuracos of CityGrows, a cloud platform provider for local governments, won a total of $30,000 in cash awards, comprised of a $25,000 cash award from the WFN judges and a $5,000 cash award from the Junior Judges, at our Sixth Annual Fast Pitch Competition on October 16, 2018, hosted by CNSI at UCLA. Second place winner, Sabena Suri of BOXFOX, received a $10,000 cash award and third place winner, Gloria Hwang of Thousand, received a $5,000 cash award.

"Our mission is to provide capital, visibility and mentorship to female founders.  This year's top ten Fast Pitch finalists are all growing scalable, transformative businesses solving real problems," said Darya Allen-Attar, Founder and CEO of Women Founders Network.  "Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to increase the total cash prizes awarded by 30% compared to last year and all finalists will benefit from in-kind professional services and the connections they have made with our network."

Allen-Attar added, "CityGrows, a cloud platform provider that helps local governments more efficiently manage permitting, licensing and other processes, won both the top cash prize awarded by the WFN judges and our Junior Judges, who represent the next generation of female entrepreneurs and investors.  We were all inspired by CityGrows' ability to make our government work more efficiently and become an attractive place to work for today's generation."
