Long Island City, NY (PRWEB) December 24, 2014 -- CityView Racquet Club, located in Long Island City, NY, hosted its most successful holiday party yet for its members on Tuesday, Dec. 16. The party helped to promote the club and give members a way to celebrate the growing community at CityView.
CityView Racquet Club is a private club in the New York City and tri-state area that has several state-of-the-art tennis and squash courts, a fitness gym, a luxury spa, and a great view of the New York City skyline. This is the seventh year the club has hosted its holiday party for members and their guests.
This year's CityView Racquet Club holiday party featured four 30-minute live music sets with singers and songwriters who all happen to be members of the club. Overall, 70 club members and their guests were in attendance for the party, which lasted from about 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Mike Cash, managing director for CityView Racquet Club, said the party was scheduled for one week earlier, but the tremendous amounts of rain and flooding postponed the party until the 16th. But the rescheduled celebration didn't dampen the club's spirits, said Cash, and thankfully, all members and guests who RSVP'd for the original date were able to attend on the 16th.
Cash was pleased with the attendance and said it served as a testament to the club's atmosphere. CityView Racquet Club offers a relaxing getaway from bustling city life, and Cash likens it to a country club in the city.
In addition to dancing to the live music, guests also enjoyed socializing over hors d'oeuvres, a buffet, and drinks at the bar. The party was held in the upstairs lounge area, another area of CityView Racquet Club that members can use to socialize and relax.
The party -- and CityView Racquet Club itself -- received rave reviews from club members. Not only were they pleased with the holiday celebration, but they had nothing but great feedback for the club's facilities and services, as well.
"I love being a member of CityView," said Fay Ann Lee, who plays tennis there. "Not only because I get great competitive tennis every week and take lessons from the absolute best pros in town, but what I treasure most are the friendships I've built that will last my entire lifetime."
Gary Brody, another member at CityView Racquet Club, says that his experience at the club is about more than just tennis. "The people who teach, run and maintain the club make members feel more like family than customers," he said.
Jake Hays, who uses the club's squash courts, and Phoebe Gavin, a fitness member, both agreed with Brody: their enjoyment of CityView Racquet Club's services comes down to their treatment from the staff.
"The staff is very personable," said Hays. "They take the time to get to know you and make you feel welcomed each and every time you come into the club."
Gavin referred to the staff as the "best part of coming here" to CityView Racquet Club. "I wish I had found this place sooner," she said.
To Cash, the testimonials were flattering, but not necessarily surprising. "This is a club where the staff knows members by their first name and treats them as if they were old friends," he said. "It isn't just a phenomenal place to play racquet sports; it’s a place that fosters deep connections between people in the area."
The holiday party at CityView Racquet Club helped reaffirm the club's commitment to its members' satisfaction, said Cash, and the event gave everyone the ability to enjoy one another's company. "All in all, it was a good, cheerful and relaxed evening," he said.
