Clarion Safety Systems Successfully Earns Recertification to ISO 9001:2015
Clarion Safety successfully transitioned to the latest edition of the ISO 9001 quality management systems standard in 2016, and has recently completed its recertification process
MILFORD, Pa., Dec. 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Clarion Safety Systems, a leading manufacturer of safety labels, signs and tags, has successfully earned recertification to ISO 9001:2015, an internationally recognized standard specifying the requirements for quality management systems.
ISO 9001, ISO's flagship quality management systems standard, helps organizations demonstrate to customers that they can offer products and services of consistently high quality. It also acts as a tool to streamline their processes and make them more efficient at what they do. ISO 9001 registration is confirmation of a company's longstanding commitment to continually improving quality management systems to ensure customer satisfaction.
"We take great pride in serving our customers well. Clarion Safety's recertification is a direct reflection of our commitment to providing exceptional products, services and customer experiences," says Ron Crawford, CEO of Clarion Safety.
Certification for ISO 9001 involves rigorous auditing and improvement of business processes, and must be renewed every three years. The recertification process is very similar to the audit phases of the initial certification process. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire recertification and audit process was conducted virtually.
"I'm proud of how successful this process was, especially during such an unprecedented time. We were able to conduct a full ISO recertification during the challenges of the pandemic, with zero 'non-conformance issues' or negative findings. It's a testament to each of our team members – from customer service to product development and design to production – who are dedicated to our commitment to quality," Crawford says.
Clarion Safety has been certified to ISO 9001 since 2008. Its compliance certification is registered – and continually updated and reaffirmed – through the services of BSI Management Systems America, Inc. The latest edition of the standard, ISO 9001:2015, was published in September 2015. Organizations were allowed up to three years to migrate to the new version of the standard. However, due to Clarion Safety's commitment to its customers and to today's best practice standards for safety and quality, the company strove to be on the leading-edge of certification to the newly revised version of ISO 9001. It began the process of planning for and implementing the changes necessary to comply with the 2015 version of the 9001 standard just two months after the standard published, successfully completing the process in 2016.
