Classic Honda of Midland Officially Opens
Midland, Texas (PRWEB) September 30, 2015 -- The highly respected Texas family owned & operated Classic Auto Group has already brought their unique approach to the car business to Midland, Texas. Tom Durant, owner of 17 dealerships including Classic Chevrolet in North Texas, together with managing partner Joey Gabarda have purchased the Honda dealership and have renamed the store as Classic Honda of Midland. The finalization of the sale was completed on September 22, 2015. Since taking over operations in May, Joey Gabarda has already implemented the successful formula for business that is used by all the Classic family of dealerships, simply stated in their vision statement: To be the best at everything we do. The success of the North Texas store, Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, is largely due to a deep-rooted culture of integrity, respect and teamwork, explained Joey Gabarda.
Gabarda, managing partner of Classic Honda of Midland learned the Classic way of doing business firsthand at the flagship Chevy store. “Classic’s approach to the car business is incredibly simple yet surprisingly unique”, explains Gabarda. “The focus of every employee is entirely on the customer. Salespeople are empowered to handle the entire transaction from start to finish, eliminating the confrontational and time consuming game of “let me talk to my manager” nonsense. We want the customer to fully understand every element of the purchase and only spend within their budget. Our goal is not to make a huge profit on any individual transaction. On the contrary, our goal is to make the customer so thrilled with their purchase that they become our biggest advocate and a customer for life.”
Classic Honda of Midland is located on West Wall Street at the intersection of Thomason in the heart of Midland. In addition to the full line of new Hondas, Classic Honda of Midland also stocks a large supply of Certified Used Hondas, and a variety of other pre-owned cars and trucks. Since beginning operations in May, Joey Gabarda immediately focused on capital improvements on the property, including over $500,000 in interior and exterior showroom and lot improvements, and $250,000 in state-of-the-art shop upgrades to better service their clients.
“We are expecting to sell 70 new Hondas a month and approximately 60 pre-owned vehicles a month by year’s end,” says Gabarda. “Our fixed operations (service and parts) have already transitioned prior customers and are quickly building new business. We also plan to look at other opportunities in the Permian Basin to expand the Classic organization. We’re extremely excited to serve the entire Midland Odessa market and look forward to building long lasting relationships with our customers and our community, one individual at a time.”
