FISHERS, Ind., Feb. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- John McDonald, CEO of ClearObject, has been named a 2019 MIRA "Community Champion of the Year" Award nominee. Now in its 20th year, TechPoint's MIRA Awards celebrate the people, products, companies and places chosen as "The Best of Tech in Indiana."
ClearObject and McDonald's established reputation for visionary leadership in the Internet of Things (IoT) industry led the company to win "Scale-up Company of the Year" during the 2017 MIRA Awards. To continue fueling Indiana's growth in the global technology ecosystem, McDonald founded the Indiana Technology and Innovation Association in 2018, a group that helps technology leaders advocate for legislation and reform within the state.

Nominees were selected by 48 independent subject matter experts who evaluated and ranked the applications. Later this month, nominees will present their cases to judging panels, after which the judges will select the winners following deliberations.
