New Payment Currency and Payment Methods:
• Malaysian Ringgit – With e-commerce sales of $250 million in 2012 and forecasted to double by 2017, Malaysia is one of the strongest and fastest growing Asian economies. Malaysians are heavy credit card users with an average of 1.1 credit cards per household. By offering the Ringgit for orders made with Visa and MasterCard, companies create familiarity for Malaysian customers and an opportunity for increased revenue.
• Swedish Real-time Banking – With an online payment market share of around 30 percent, Swedish Real-time Banking is the most frequently used payment option in Sweden. With the implementation of Swedish Real-time Banking, Swedish customers can use their existing online banking accounts with SEB, Nordea and Handelsbanken to submit payments with no additional account or login required. Customers benefit from immediate gratification (as if they were using a credit card) and from the convenience of utilizing their own online banking interface.
• Finnish Real-time Banking - With an online payment market share between 44 and 68 percent, Finnish Real-time Banking is the most frequently used payment option in Finland. Similar to Swedish Real-time Banking, this payment method enables Finland customers to use their existing online banking accounts with Nordea, OP - Pohjola, Danske Bank, LähiTapiola, Handelsbanken, Aktia, POP Pankki, Säästöpankki, Säästöpankki Nooa, S-Pankki and Alandsbanken to submit payments with no additional account or login required.
With the additions of the new local payment options, cleverbridge now offers clients 39 payment methods, 30 languages and 28 currencies.
