Cloud Girls Welcomes the 2021 Board of Directors

Cloud Girls’ new board is a diverse mix of leaders from all areas of the technology sector, but they have a common vision around aggressive goals for empowering women in technology throughout 2021. Cloud Girls looks to spend 2021 expanding its role to inspire and empower women in cloud technology.

Cloud Girls, a Next-Gen Tech Think Tank, is pleased to announce its new leadership for 2021 as it enters its 11th year. The not-for-profit organization named new board directors and co-chairs across key areas of focus, including finance, philanthropy, membership, communications, operations, strategy and brand, community and events. Cloud Girls’ new board is a diverse mix of leaders from all areas of the technology sector, but they have a common vision around aggressive goals for empowering women in technology throughout 2021. Cloud Girls looks to spend 2021 expanding its role to inspire and empower women as thought leaders in the evolving cloud and next-generation technology space.

“As 2020 was a year of adaptation, agility, and patience, I look to 2021 as a year of innovation, growth, and opportunity for both the Cloud Girls organization and our members, “ said Cloud Girls co-founder and board member, Jo Peterson, Vice President of Cloud & Security Services for Clarify360. “We have an exciting roadmap of new and improved tools, resources, and programs created to double down on our mission to unite, empower, and amplify the voices of upcoming and veteran female technology thought leaders. Expect to see a lot from our members and our organization in 2021.”

The Cloud Girls’ board welcomes the addition of 4 new directors:

  • Jo Peterson, Vice President of Cloud & Security Services for Clarify360, in a new board role as chair of Operations
  • Jeanine Sicinski, Cloud Solutions Consultant for RapidScale, in a new board role as chair of Communications
  • Lorraine Bassett, Chief of Staff/Business Advisor for AWS, in a new board role as chair of Philanthropy
  • Lisa Noon, managing director for Deloitte, joins the board as the new chair of Community

“Cloud Girls is excited to welcome new board directors who will bring well-earned expertise and fresh perspectives to our mission of advancing cloud and emerging technologies,” said Cloud Girls veteran and Advisory Council member Khali Henderson, Senior Partner for BuzzTheory. “Jo, Jeanine, Lorraine, and Lisa have been engaged and active members, and will be inspirational leaders as we drive Cloud Girls’ growth into our second decade.”

Returning board members include:

  • Tamara Prazak, National Channel Director for Appgate, in a new board role as chair of Strategy & Brand
  • Michelle Hyde, President and Founder of Hyde Group, returns as the chair of Finance
  • Natalia Schenkel, Business Manager of Strategic Partnerships & Alliances for Armor Cloud Security, returns as the chair of Membership
  • Tatiana Sebby, Enterprise Account Executive and Team Lead for 8x8, returns as the chair of Events
  • Raj Varma, Vice President of Alliances for Xoriant, returns as the chair of Infrastructure

Co-chairs named for 2021 include:

  • Jess Bryar, National Channel Director for Masergy, returns in a new board role as co-chair of Operations
  • Wendy Williams, Product Manager of Private Cloud & Security Services for INAP, joins the board as co-chair of Operations
  • Patty Bloom, Senior Consultant of Ecosystems and Alliances for Deloitte Digital, joins the board as co-chair of Community
  • Allison Bergamo, Principal of Bergamo Marketing Group, returns in her role as co-chair of Brand & Strategy
  • Heather K. Margolis, Founder and CEO of Spark Your Channel, joins the board as the co-chair of Communications
  • MeiLee Langley, Senior Director of Channel & Field Marketing for Nextiva, joins the board as the co-chair of Communications
  • Angela Hogaboom, Director of Risk Assessment & Innovation for RSI, returns to the board as a co-chair of Philanthropy
  • Kayla Kirkeby, Vice President of Growth for Ombud, joins the board as the co-chair of Finance
  • Lacey Rondon, Regional Partner Leader for Rackspace, returns in her role as co-chair of Membership
  • Marcia Dempster, Senior Director of Channel Sales for Keeper Security, returns in her role as co-chair of Events
  • Jennifer Gavin, Regional Vice President for Adecco, joins the board as the co-chair of Infrastructure
