CMR Molecular Imaging Announces the Installation of a Breast PET Imaging System at Baheya Breast Cancer Center
CMR Molecular Imaging selected by Baheya Breast Cancer Center as the provider of a High Resolution Breast PET Imaging System
CARLSBAD, Calif., Nov. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CMR Molecular Imaging and its representative in Egypt, Global Technology, have been selected by the Baheya Breast Cancer Center to provide a Solo II™ High Resolution Breast PET Imaging (BPI) System with biopsy guidance capabilities.
The Solo II High Resolution PET System provides metabolic visualization of lesions in small body parts. Through a unique combination of gentle immobilization, advanced photonics and imaging processing, the scanner provides tomographic images with a resolution as small as 1.6 mm. The Stereo Navigator® PET Guided Biopsy Accessory, the only FDA cleared PET biopsy guidance device, confirms a biopsy path with a 3-D needle trajectory image that enables physicians to target and guide biopsy devices to obtain adequate tissues samples for pathologic evaluation.
