Coat Drive Helps Provide Warmth to Those in Need
(PRWEB) September 04, 2013 -- AlignLife of Wauwatosa is always looking for ways to help the community in addition to educating the public about the benefits of chiropractic care. One way that AlignLife is doing this in September is by holding a Coat Drive.
The Coat Drive is being held September 1st – September 15th. Any new patient that brings in a gently used or new coat during that time will receive a complimentary consultation as well as examination. AlignLife is also encouraging existing patients to bring in their gently used coats, too. The coats will be donated to Salvation Army.
“So many parents in our community are unable to provide a warm coat for their child(ren) during the winter months,” explains Dr. Sara Mahalko. “It warms my heart to be able to provide children the warmth that they need during the cold winter months. This is just one way that we can help those who are unable to provide the coats that are needed.”
Dr. Sara Mahalko and Dr. Katie Sam, both chiropractors at AlignLife, see children of all ages for chiropractic care. Parents often bring their children in shortly after giving birth, to make sure that their nervous system is working properly. With a properly functioning nervous system, a child is better able to adapt to their environment around them, resulting in an improved immune system as well.
