Cobalt Water Global is an artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) company that leverages deep knowledge of urban water systems to drive smarter and more sustainable urban water management.
With a goal of reducing nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions equal to 25k metric tons of CO2 through its N2ORisk DSS platform by September, 2022, the Challenge invites water utilities, industries with nitrogen-laden wastewater, and consultants supporting water resource recovery facilities (WRRFs) to participate. The N2ORisk DSS is the first and only comprehensive commercial solution to help account for, report, assess, mitigate and monitor WRRF facility N2O emissions. Those selected will gain free access to the platform for mitigating select sites.
"N2O is a powerful GHG and can make up eighty percent of a WRRF's carbon footprint, however most of these facilities do not have visibility into how much N2O is emitted from their plants, or how to reduce their N2O emissions," said Jose Porro, Founder and CEO of Cobalt Water Global.
