CoderZ Working with Amazon Future Engineer Program to Provide Free Access to Virtual Coding and Robotics Tool for Students at Home
Amazon Future Engineer is offering students, teachers, and parents free access to the CoderZ program and curricula while students are home from school due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
DERRY, N.H., April 6, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- CoderZ and the Amazon Future Engineer program are working together to offer free access to the award-winning CoderZ Virtual Robotics Learning Environment to help keep students across the US safely learning despite the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic. CoderZ is an online educational environment where independent students or full classes have fun programming their own virtual robots while working on collaborative virtual missions linked to real world concepts and computer science learning standards. The cloud-based platform features a graphical simulation of LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robot and a CoderZ virtual robot named Ruby. Users activate the virtual robot, in game-like "missions" and watch the results in a real-time simulation. The fully sequenced courses are able to accommodate a wide range of age levels. Novices in grades as early as second grade can use the program's Blockly visual code editor while it allows more experienced users and those in high school to use text-based coding.
