Cohesive Solutions Implements Maximo Oil & Gas at another U.S. Pipeline
KENNESAW, Ga. (PRWEB) February 22, 2018 -- Cohesive Solutions, has successfully deployed IBM Maximo Oil & Gas at a large energy provider in the northern U.S. The project applied a transformational approach to addressing Regulatory Compliance-based Work Management, using IBM Maximo Anywhere as the primary user interface and a GIS Integration using IBM Maximo Spatial. The project involved a complex data transformation from paper records of 30,000+ locations and their respective assets. The year-long project included an in-depth reconciliation of the DOT PHMSA inspection and environmental requirements. This resulted in the creation of 5,800 preventive maintenance plans, associated routes and 500+ job plans.
The principal component, with significant change management impact to the customer’s field workforce, was moving from a paper-based solution to IBM’s mobile solution, Maximo Anywhere. This solution enables mobile workers to manage their work assignments, process work orders, and capture measurements and readings. Mobile workers gained the ability to view work and assets on maps provided through spatial integration of the client’s Esri ArcGIS system. Using the IBM® Maximo® Spatial Asset Management users can now visualize the spatial relationships among managed assets and other mapped features.
