AGOURA HILLS, Calif., Oct. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Coldwell Banker Realtor Nona Green, of Nona Green & Associates and Agoura Horse Property, is on a mission to educate the public about the danger of using poisons. "They are killing off the wildlife," said Green, who is a founding member of the nonprofit, Poison Free Agoura. "We are trying to get laws passed at the state and county level to ban the most harmful poisons. These rodent poisons not only attract rodents to a property, but they kill the natural predators. The rodents that ingest the poison get eaten by non-targeted animals. This causes suffering and death, to not only the rodents exposed to the poison, but to all the wildlife across the food chain."
The mission of Poison Free Agoura is to educate the public about the problems with rat poisons, how they affect the wildlife and our environment, and to offer effective alternatives. "The overall health of our children, pets, wildlife and the environment is our goal," added Green.
Poison Free Agoura/Malibu recently had a T-shirt fundraiser. "By buying and wearing a stylish tee, people helped spread the word that we need to protect wildlife and not use poisons to control rodents," concluded Green. "The outcome was a success and we reached our goal, and due to popular demand, another fundraiser will be coming soon."
