ST. LOUIS, June 7, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Everyone has an internal biological clock that functions to inform the body of important responsibilities such as sleep, hunger, mood and more. But what if humans were born with an external biological clock visible to everyone that as soon as they are born starts counting down to the exact moment they will meet the love of their life…and what if there was one person who was born with a broken clock? In Rachel Look's debut coming of age YA novel, "Eyes on Me" she introduces readers to Maeve, the girl with the broken clock, as she tries to navigate life while believing she will never find love.
It happens to everyone – everyone except Maeve. Once someone is born, their clock starts ticking and does not stop until they find the person they are destined to love. When Maeve was born, her clock never started and remained at zero for her entire life, broken as they would say. Now an adult, Maeve tries to fill the void of affection with writing, but even that becomes difficult to do as she is not happy with her own story. However, things are about to change when her life is shaken as she builds and tests relationships with people she loves and begins a journey of self-discovery, all while battling an external threat. Maeve must learn to trust the timing of life, and she might not end up alone after all.
"As a busy young woman juggling college, work and a social life, I thought about how wonderful it would be to have some sort of certainty with dating which sparked the idea of Maeve's journey to find love in a world where everyone was predestined to meet the love of their life," said Look. "Maeve represents anyone who feels like they will never find love and I created her character to inspire readers that love is always possible and to take something positive away from the story and messaging."
Readers will be captivated by Look's debut novel and the rich character development of her story's heroine, Maeve, as they follow along in her voyage to find love and self-acceptance. To learn more, please visit http://www.rachellook.com.
