WASHINGTON (PRWEB) November 21, 2019
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) announced today it has been named a “2019 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits, the leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits.
NSCS is an interdisciplinary honors organization that invites and recognizes first-and second-year students with a minimum 3.4 GPA who are enrolled in an accredited 2-year or 4-year institution. Members receive access to more than $1 million in scholarships, awards and chapter funds in addition to leadership and service opportunities.
“Building social proof around the value of legitimate and certified honor societies in an age when students are being inundated with countless scams is critical for us, said Stephen Loflin, founder of NSCS. “Our student scholars represent the best of the best from across the country and we are both humbled and honored to be recognized by such an authentic and primary source for nonprofits and charities.”
The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is based on the rating and number of reviews that NSCS received from volunteers, donors and aid recipients.
“I am grateful for the many opportunities that NSCS brings to its members, wrote an NSCS member and Chapter President. “This unique network of scholars, educators, school administrators, and professionals has taught me lessons about leadership that I will carry with me after I finish my experience in college.”
“NSCS is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of GreatNonprofits. “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with them.”
GreatNonprofits is the leading website where people share stories about their personal experiences on more than 1.6 million charities and nonprofits. The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities – as donors, volunteers and recipients of aid.
