Colorado Health Access Fund Releases Inaugural RFP
Denver, CO (PRWEB) April 13, 2015 -- The Colorado Health Access Fund of The Denver Foundation released its inaugural Request for Proposals today. The Fund will focus on increasing access to behavioral health care and improving health outcomes for populations with high health care needs throughout the state of Colorado. Over the next eight years, the Fund is committed to allocating approximately $5 million per year in resources among rural, urban, and suburban areas.
The Denver Foundation is working with other community foundations and philanthropic partners across the state to help notify local communities about this funding opportunity.
Organizations interested in applying for funding can identify the behavioral health need that they want to address in their community. Funding is available for projects, programs, collaboratives, and general operating support. The first round of applications is due May 15th, and grants will be awarded in late July 2015. There will also be two question and answer sessions held prior to the deadline.
“After surveying the health care needs across the state, it is clear that access to mental health and substance abuse care are among the most pressing issues,” said David Miller, President of The Denver Foundation. “The need is significant. We are honored to support local communities in reducing and removing barriers for Coloradans with high behavioral health care needs.”
