MARCO ISLAND, Fla., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) was the Longest Drive Sponsor at the Community Association Managers of Marco Island (CAMMI) 20th Annual Golf Tournament on Sept. 29. The event was held at The Golf Club at Fiddler's Creek, located at 8152 Fiddlers Creek Pkwy in Naples. The tournament launched with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m., followed by an Awards Luncheon at 12:30 p.m. and a raffle. Contests included: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, Putting, and Longest Putt. Funds raised donated to local nonprofit Joy of Giving.

Joy of Giving raises money for families who require assistance with toys, gifts and food during the holidays. Last year, Joy of Giving identified nearly 1,000 children in Collier County in need. Referrals are submitted by social workers, teachers, and community members. Designated families check in and are given a budget for holiday gifts. The parents have the opportunity to shop for their children and items are pre-scanned through partnerships with local retail stores. No money exchanges hands. Once a family in need is identified, every child is accounted for.
VCGFL sponsors numerous community and charitable events each year as part of their annual corporate giving campaign. Initiatives include ALS, domestic violence awareness, roofing and construction donations, military personnel and veteran advocacy, youth education and enrichment.
