ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Community Health Charities proudly welcomes Karen M. Spruill, Executive Director, Federal Employee Program Member Experience at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, to the national board.

Spruill oversees the member experience for the roughly 5.4 million federal employees, retirees, and their families enrolled in Blue Cross and Blue Shield's Service Benefit Plan, also known as the Federal Employee Program (FEP). She works with her dynamic team to make health care easier for Blue members in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and overseas.
She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Zoology and Chemistry from Howard University and Master's of Health Services Administration with an emphasis in Strategic Planning and Marketing from The George Washington University's School of Business.
Spruill was elected to the national board of directors by unanimous vote at the last meeting in May and has already begun her official duties. She will attend the next meeting in August.
