Compliance, an integrated eDiscovery services and managed review provider, today announced Amy Hinzmann has joined as president to drive the operational strategy for the company. Hinzmann will focus on creating a unified strategy, scaling existing offerings, and expanding to relevant adjacencies. Prominent attorney, Marla Crawford, has joined as general counsel to support the in-house legal needs of Compliance.
Crawford brings over 30 years’ expertise to Compliance and regularly speaks on legal technology, electronic discovery, and information governance issues. Hinzmann is a noted industry legal expert, diversity, and client advocate with over 20 years of legal technology and consulting experience. They join Marc Zamsky, chief executive officer, and Ari Perlstein, chief technology officer in the leadership suite, as well as Sara Brandes, newly appointed executive vice president, national sales.

Hinzmann and Crawford are both involved in many groups and associations that promote women and diversity initiatives and legal technology advancement. Crawford was recently awarded the Challenger Award at the eDiscovery Hero Awards presented by Zapproved. The Challenger Award recognizes those who have demonstrated a history of analyzing complex issues and implementing solutions that led to overwhelmingly positive results for their organizations. Hinzmann was recently appointed development chair for the Center for Women in Law.

Hinzmann began her career representing brokerage firms as a litigation attorney at Jenkens & Gilchrist. Hinzmann also served as vice president and counsel for Merrill Lynch’s brokerage business before transitioning to legal services consulting, where she held executive leadership roles and led diversity initiatives for the past 13 years. Hinzmann earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Latin American Studies and a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin. Hinzmann is admitted to practice law in Texas and New York.
Crawford spent 22 years practicing law at the prestigious international firm Jones Day before serving as associate general counsel for Goldman Sachs where she led the firm’s global eDiscovery practice and focused on complex commercial and securities litigation and regulatory investigations. Crawford earned a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University and graduated magna cum laude from Boston University, where she earned her Juris Doctor.
