Concepts Communications Honored for Best Diversity, Equity & Inclusion National Awareness Campaign in the 2nd Annual Anthem Awards

Bethesda-based communications firm announces silver Anthem Award in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion - National Awareness Campaign category for their work managing the Campaign for Disability Employment initative.

The CDE is a multi-faceted public awareness campaign that highlights supportive, inclusive workplaces for all workers. It centers around a series of public service announcements that underscore the critical role of disability in workplace diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility efforts.

Concepts Communications announced today that it won a silver Anthem Award in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion - National Awareness Campaign category, which honors outstanding work by a national program that raises awareness for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion causes. The award recognizes Concepts’ work managing the Campaign for Disability Employment (CDE), an initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP).

The CDE is a multi-faceted public awareness campaign that highlights supportive, inclusive workplaces for all workers. It centers around a series of public service announcements (PSAs) that underscore the critical role of disability in workplace diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) efforts. Concepts has worked on the campaign since its launch in 2009 and is the force behind its five powerful PSAs, produced for ODEP in collaboration with RaffertyWeiss Media.

“The Campaign for Disability Employment reminds us that, at work, it’s what people CAN do that matters,” said Karen Herson, president of Concepts Communications. “It’s been an honor serving this important public awareness effort over the years, and we’re thrilled that The Anthem Awards have recognized the important role that disability diversity plays in the DEIA movement.”

Judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, The Anthem Awards were launched in response to the prevalence of social good has taken within the national conversation and cultural zeitgeist in recent years. The 2nd Annual competition received nearly 2,000 entries from 43 countries worldwide.
