Concert Technologies Forms Nationwide Connectivity Site Readiness Task Force
Concert Technologies has formed the Site Readiness Task Force to prepare telecom providers and building property managers for post COVID-19 internet connectivity recovery and ensure successful customer transition back into the workplace.
DULLES, Va., June 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Concert's Site Readiness Task Force has been closely examining the impact of COVID-19 on the ability of Commercial and Government organizations to support the nationwide delivery of critical internet infrastructure.
Due to the temporary closure of non-essential facilities and major shifts to teleworking, a significant reduction in on-premise facility management personnel has led to a reduced capacity for telecom site readiness activities, circuit delivery, inside wiring (ISW), and customer premises equipment (CPE) deployments at commercial and government buildings across the nation:
- Direct access to customer sites has been restricted according to regional health and safety guidelines, forcing partial to near complete office building shutdowns and directly impacting the delivery of connectivity service requests
- A wide range of safety guidelines have been implemented for site technicians interfacing with on-site personnel, causing site access refusal for contractors unable to comply with regulations enforced on-site
- Demand for nationwide circuit delivery projects is starting to build as states and counties implement less restrictive 'back-to-work' guidelines and the nation begins to reopen
Additionally, the Recovery Task Force has identified a lack of management personnel to be a major issue facing technology rollout companies performing work associated with site readiness for telecom providers during the early stages of post-COVID-19 recovery. This is due to many firms' decision to furlough or layoff their employees, a reluctance to bring back employees during the period of uncertainty surround the reopening of our nation, and a poor ability to scale their available resources.
"In the case of COVID-19, Concert has been maintaining our workforce. We are committed to providing effective and affordable business continuity solutions and the Site Readiness Recovery Task Force has been able to help service providers and nationwide organizations prevent unforeseen delays and cost surprises due to regional restrictions," said Dennis Mazaris, CEO & President of Concert Technologies. "Concert's work volume is a good indicator of our country reopening. Each state is opening at their own discretion, which is directly reflected in us managing more and more of our local resources for those regions that are further along in their re-opening strategy."
Concert addresses the scaling of resources in our proven ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management System, leveraging our BICSI accredited ICT Project Management training courses and internal training program to provide telecom providers and their customers with dedicated project management teams that fit their unique nationwide rollout needs.
Concert Technologies is expecting a large volume of nationwide circuit delivery projects as organizations prepare to bring their workforce back to the office.
