Conquest Security Inc. Achieves CMMC-AB Registered Provider Organization (RPO) Approval
The CMMC Accreditation Body (CMMC-AB) has approved Conquest Security Inc. as a Registered Provider Organization (RPO) that helps defense contractors prepare for their CMMC certification.
GAITHERSBURG, Md., Jan. 11, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Conquest Security has been approved by the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC-AB) as a CMMC Registered Provider Organization (RPO). In the CMMC ecosystem, RPOs provide advice, consulting, and recommendations to defense contractors preparing for certification. RPOs are the "implementers" and consultants that help organizations prepare for certification but do not conduct certified assessments.
An approved CMMC RPO must maintain a focused proficiency with the CMMC standard and employ CMMC certified Registered Practitioners (RP) that have expertise in the CMMC framework and best practices.

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework takes various cybersecurity standards and best practices and maps these controls and processes across several maturity levels that range from basic cyber hygiene to advanced.
For a given CMMC level, the associated practices and processes, when implemented, will reduce risk against a specific set of cyber threats. The CMMC effort builds upon the existing regulation (DFARS 252.204-7012) by adding a verification component for cybersecurity requirements.
