ConSova Corporation Awarded a Novation NOVAPLUS® Agreement for Its Dependent Eligibility Services
LAKEWOOD, CO (PRWEB) February 13, 2015 -- ConSova Corporation, one of the nation’s leading health care cost containment companies, today announced that its dependent eligibility verification services are now offered through an agreement with NOVAPLUS, the private-label brand of Novation, the nation’s leading health care services company.
Through the agreement, effective 12/01/14, ConSova will become the NOVAPLUS dependent eligibility services supplier, offering comprehensive health care cost containment solutions, including Dependent Eligibility Verification, Working Spouse Provision Audits and Ongoing Verification Services to the more than 100,000 members and affiliates of VHA Inc., UHC, Children’s Hospital Association and Provista LLC served by Novation.
"We are honored and excited about the opportunity to work with members served by Novation to help eliminate unnecessary health plan costs," said John Cratin, SVP, ConSova Corporation. “We share in Novation’s strong commitment to deliver unsurpassed value to the member hospitals it serves and look forward to a long, mutually beneficial relationship.”
ConSova’s extensive experience with hospitals and health systems, coupled with its well-crafted communications, highly refined methodologies, and experienced staff will help to ensure a timely and measurable return on investment for members that access Novation’s NOVAPLUS agreements.
The health care cost containment solutions offered by ConSova provide Novation-served members the opportunity to reduce their annual health care spend by up to 12 percent. These savings are achieved through the identification of ineligible dependents (5-8 percent of covered dependents on average) currently covered on the plan and through the implementation of Other Coverage Verification for those organizations with working spouse rules.
While Dependent Eligibility Audits have achieved wide adoption for many years, the implementation of working spouse provisions is a relatively recent trend. The adoption of spousal surcharges and exclusion rules (also known as carve-out rules) has created the need for verification of other coverage available at a spouse’s employer. ConSova has pioneered a Working Spouse Provision Audit that enables health plans to achieve an average participation rate of 30 percent, well above the 8.3 percent average participation experienced by employers without proper verification mechanisms in place.
“Dependent eligibility services can help identify significant cost savings opportunities, and we are pleased to provide ConSova’s services under the NOVAPLUS label,” said Kathryn Kimbrell, Director, Program Services for NOVAPLUS.
