A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 for Green Oaks Valparaiso, a new Gardant Management Solutions affordable assisted living community that is expected to open in April 2023. The community will serve seniors who need some help to maintain their independence.
VALPARAISO, Ind., May 9, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. CST on Thursday, May 19, 2022 for Green Oaks Valparaiso, a new affordable assisted living community designed to serve low-income Valpraiso seniors who need some help to maintain their independence.
The community, which will be located at 2550 Morthland Dr., Valparaiso, IN 46383, will serve seniors.
Green Oaks Valparaiso is expected to open by April 2023.
The three-story, 98,000 square-foot building will house 120 private apartments: 48 studios and 72 one-bedroom apartments.
Each of the private apartments at Green Oaks Valparaiso will feature a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, individually-controlled heating and air conditioning units, and an emergency alert system.
In addition, Green Oaks Valparaiso will have a café, private dining room, lounges, fitness center, theater, physical therapy room, library/computer room and other amenities.
Certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, will be on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The project will be developed and owned by Evergreen Real Estate Group in Chicago. The community will be managed by Gardant Management Solutions. It will further expand Evergreen Real Estate Group and Gardant's mission of providing residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve in addition to the help with medications and personal assistance they need, says Rod Burkett, CEO of Gardant.
Direct Supply Aptura in Milwaukee, WI designed the community, and construction will be completed by Evergreen Construction Company, a division of Evergreen Real Estate Group, in partnership with Gleason Architects, P.C., in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Project under construction that is also being developed by Evergreen Real Estate Group and managed by Gardant is Green Oaks of Goshen. Green Oaks of Goshen is scheduled to open in early 2023. Both Green Oaks of Goshen and Green Oaks of Valpraiso communities are designed to serve low-income older adults who need some assistance to maintain their independence.
