24 people are pitted against each other in this sequel to "A God's Game"
WEST ORANGE, N.J., Sept. 12, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Three deities decided to end their boredom by coming to Earth and using humans as pawns in their deadly game. 24 young adults from all over the United States suddenly awake to find themselves as players in a contest where the only way to win is to survive.
In "A God's Game: Tiebreaker Part 1," author Andrew Whyte's second book in his "A God's Game" trilogy, the struggle continues, even though many characters we met in the first book are now dead. The remaining players are now filled with fiery passion to avenge those that have been lost as they try to decipher clues left behind to find a way to survive.
"My books are inspired by the things I like: anime, comics, and videogames," Whyte said, "but I also draw from my life experiences. I like to weave in my own thoughts, insecurities, doubts, and challenges. I blend the wonders of fantasy with the cruelty of reality."
When the unwilling human pawns finally learn about their situation, they all handle it differently: some accept, others deny, and few look for another way out. But regardless of how they feel, one fact that can't be avoided is that blood will spill. This ongoing game, known as Warterria, will push them to the brink. With the immense power of the divinities looming over, the players uniting is proving to be more than difficult.
"A God's Game: Tiebreaker Part 1" was recently named a finalist in the Thriller: Psychological category of the 2022 American Fiction Awards, along with "A God's Game," which is a Finalist in the General Fiction category.
