Convoy of Hope's Disaster Services team is responding to Hurricane Laura, the first major hurricane of the year. The nonprofit organization is pre-positioning several truckloads of disaster relief supplies to help communities in the storm’s path. Convoy of Hope is sending truckloads of food, water, hygiene supplies and cleanup kits and will distribute them once the storm has passed.
Jeff Nene, Convoy of Hope’s national spokesperson, said, “With staff and supplies in close proximity, Convoy’s Disaster Services team can respond quickly when needed.”
Convoy of Hope is prepared to distribute disaster relief supplies at a drive-thru point of distribution site. They will also deliver supplies door-to-door in neighborhoods affected by the storm.
