ROSWELL, Ga., Jan. 7, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cook & James, the Atlanta-area based real estate law firm known for pioneering at-home closings, begins the new year with three executive moves and significant promotions for Richard Staniszewski, Brook Zink and Jamie DiGregory. Staniszewski transitions into a role more focused on sales and client development, creating the position of vice president of client success. Zink is promoted to the role vacated by Staniszewski, vice president of operations, and Jamie DiGregory is promoted to Zink's former position, director of operations. All new roles are effective immediately and will transition completely through the first quarter of 2021.
"Despite the unsettled nature of 2020, we experienced significant growth in large part thanks to the leadership of Richard, Brook and Jamie," said Kara Cook, co-founding partner at Cook & James. "We are delighted to kick off the new year by recognizing this trio of professionals with well-deserved promotions."
Staniszewski has been with the firm since 2012, working closely with founders Kara Cook and Heather James to develop the firm's strategy, growth and scale as well as superior corporate culture and client service operations. With today's announcement, he moves from vice president of operations to a new role developed for him, vice president of client success, where he will continue to innovate and develop the firm's laser focus on client service. Staniszewski will work hand-in-hand with the entire Cook & James team to ensure that excellence is at the forefront of each and every sales and client development interaction. A graduate of Georgia State University and a U.S. Navy veteran, he stays busy both at work and in the community, competing in Tough Mudder races and volunteering at his daughter's school and with several veterans associations.
Zink joined Cook & James exactly eight years ago, in January 2013, and quickly progressed through the company, demonstrating significant leadership potential and holding the position of director of operations for the last five years. Moving to vice president of operations gives Zink a broader responsibility to implement the partners' vision for all aspects of the firm's operations. Born and raised in North Dakota, Zink is a registered yoga teacher, a runner and weightlifter who has transformed her garage into a CrossFit gym. Like Staniszewski, Zink volunteered at her son and daughter's schools pre-COVID and will resume those responsibilities after the pandemic.
DiGregory also started with the company eight years ago and, like Zink, swiftly moved into a leadership role. Today, she assumes the position vacated by Zink, director of operations. During the past year, DiGregory has been responsible for record-breaking volume, implementing numerous policies and procedures that allowed the entire team to consistently exceed expectations. DiGregory is so devoted to Cook & James she says she "bleeds purple," but she's equally as passionate about her family, intentionally spending time with her chef husband and her teenaged son.
"I join Kara in congratulating Richard, Brook and Jamie," said Heather James, co-founding partner at Cook & James. "Each one of our team members is integral to our success, but today we specifically recognize the key role these three people have played to expand and develop our firm. These pros exemplify our company culture and we heartily thank them."
