Cook County Expands iNovah Solution for a 360-degree view of County Revenue

“Having one system of record to accept and manage payments will enable the County to streamline revenue management procedures and provide greater payment choice to customers."

System Innovators (SI), a division of N. Harris Computer Corporation, is pleased to announce that Cook County, Ill. has expanded the use of iNovah’s Enterprise Revenue Management (ERM) solution to the County Clerk’s Office: Bureau of Vital Records to modernize payments and revenue management. The Clerk’s Office is one of five County agencies leveraging the benefits of iNovah’s centralized “Pay, Consolidate, Manage” approach. Cook County departments trusting iNovah include: Department of Revenue, Clerk of the Circuit Court, Clerk’s Office, Sheriff’s Department, and Health and Hospital Systems (CCHHS).

As a client since 2018, the Clerk’s Office initially implemented iNovah to replace manual processes and gain efficiencies in cashiering and collection of payments. The extension of iNovah to the Bureau of Vital Records enables the Clerk’s Office to accept payments at six additional locations around the County. The iNovah solution will provide citizens the ability to pay for services like birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, business registration and notary services, while also delivering full reporting capabilities to County administrators.

The modernization of the Bureau of Vital Records’ payments and revenue management provides a comprehensive audit trail with real-time reporting and reconciliation for any office connected to the system. With iNovah, the County now has the ability to streamline receipting, automate refund payments, and eliminate paper intensive financial processes and duplicate receipts.

“System Innovators’ continued commitment to their clients along with iNovah’s already proven success motivated the County to expand iNovah further across our agencies. We look forward to full connectivity throughout our offices and the ability to better manage payments through one central system,” stated Byron Steele, Deputy Clerk of Vital Records.

The expansion of iNovah will bring the County many immediate benefits including the ability to take a variety of payments, perform real-time account lookups, and run customizable reports, all while providing a 360-degree view of revenue for complete business intelligence.

“System Innovators is excited to grow our partnership with the Cook County Clerk’s Office,” stated Jeff Sumner, Executive Vice President, System Innovators. “Having one system of record to accept and manage payments will enable the County to streamline revenue management procedures and provide greater payment choice to customers. We look forward to providing the Clerk’s Office with the tools they need to become more efficient and best serve their citizens.”
