The Whitehall flagship rises from #2 in 2025 to claim the top spot among London hotels
LONDON, Oct. 6, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers' Choice Awards, with Corinthia London recognized as the #1 hotel in London in the U.S. awards. The recognition marks a notable rise for the hotel, which ranked #2 in 2025.
The Readers' Choice Awards, with their unparalleled legacy as the travel industry's longest running and most prestigious accolades from Condé Nast Traveler readers, remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector.
"We are incredibly proud to be named the #1 hotel in London by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler," said Charlotte Weatherall, General Manager of Corinthia London. "This recognition is especially meaningful because it comes directly from travelers themselves and is a wonderful testament to the passion and dedication of our entire team. Corinthia London continues to evolve, but what remains constant is our commitment to creating thoughtful, memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors."
Set on the corner of Whitehall beside the River Thames, Corinthia London occupies a landmark Victorian building that first opened as the Hôtel Métropole in 1885 and today combines its storied heritage with contemporary luxury in the heart of Westminster.
The hotel has continued to evolve throughout 2026, with 26 newly refurbished suites by GA Group introducing a relaxed, residential feel through British craftsmanship, custom millwork and artwork by local makers. Earlier this year, Corinthia London unveiled Biome by Corinthia London, its transformative wellbeing concept rooted in the philosophy of "Primal Luxury," bringing together nature, science and expert-led care. The hotel's culinary offering has also entered a new chapter with the September opening of Georgie's Bar alongside an evolved Kerridge's, building on Tom Kerridge's longstanding presence at Corinthia London while introducing a new destination for cocktails, bar food and British cooking.
The 2026 Readers' Choice Awards are published on Condé Nast Traveler's website at cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue.
