Cornerstone Capital Names Douillet as Executive Director
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 12, 2016 -- Cornerstone Capital Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicole P. Douillet as Executive Director responsible for Business Development and Client Portfolio Management at Cornerstone Capital Investment Management (CCIM), its investment advisory business.
“As we scale up operations at Cornerstone, we are truly delighted to be joined by a colleague with Nicole’s track record of excellence and exceptional combination of analytical and interpersonal skills,” said Erika Karp, CEO and Founder of Cornerstone Capital Group, regarding the appointment.
A recognized leader in the world of impact investing, Douillet comes to Cornerstone from Credit Suisse, where she was Head of Product Innovation for the New Markets division. In this capacity, she created the ground-breaking Credit Suisse LGBT Equality Index® and focused on attracting and growing client relationships with women and members of the African-American and LGBT communities.
Over the course of her 16 years on Wall Street, Douillet has been responsible for designing and developing market segment strategies and building innovative products to address social issues that stand in the way of wealth creation. Douillet was also the architect of an early-stage start-up accelerator and venture debt program called the Credit Suisse Entrepreneur Circle.
“I have believed for some time that capitalism can be used to effect positive change in the world without sacrificing returns,” said Douillet. “Cornerstone was founded with that same belief in mind and I am thrilled that Erika has invited me to join her team. I look forward to working with the great people at Cornerstone to change the face of finance for the better.”
Previously, Douillet spent 14 years as a trader and portfolio manager in the CS proprietary trading group. She was awarded the Credit Suisse CEO Leadership Award for Innovation and served as co-chair of the first LGBT employee resource group founded at a Wall Street bank. She began her career as the first woman hired as a trader on the block trading desk at UBS.
Douillet graduated from The University of Notre Dame with a degree in finance and business economics. She currently serves on the Campaign Council for Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice and on the Advisory Council for Action Against Hunger | ACF International.
“We’re thrilled that Nicole is joining our team. As we grow our client base and continue to expand our unique platform of sustainable and impact investment offerings, she will be a tremendous resource for us to support our client service proposition optimally,” said Phil Kirshman, Chief Investment Officer, CCIM.
