Coromatic to Start International Operations

Coromatic International, a subsidiary of Coromatic Group, will focus on the growing demand for pre-fabricated data centers in emerging markets like Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Olof Lindberg has been appointed Vice President Sales for Coromatic International and will operate from Coromatic’s Dubai office.
Coromatic International will deliver complete pre-fabricated data center solutions from design through all phases of the project to a fully operational data center on site. According to analyst firm Markets and Markets Research, the expected annual growth rate for pre-fabricated data centers globally is 32% per year the coming four years with a forecasted market value of 26 billion USD 2019.
As a part of this investment, the company today also announced its acquisition of Mauritius based Specialised Infrastructure Solutions Ltd (“SIS”) that specializes in turnkey infrastructure space and power solutions, as well as project implementation services to the telecommunications and data related industries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Through SIS Coromatic will add the capability of supporting customers with everything from site selection to civil works and commissioning.
Another key acquisition for the international operations announced earlier this week, is Swedish BoxModul, a leading supplier of pre-fabricated customized modular constructions for critical facilities. With BoxModul, Coromatic can deliver high quality and cost effective solutions rapidly deployed all over the world.

The constant growing demand of access to mobile data in the emerging markets, creates a need for telecom operators and co-location companies and other global companies to set up new data centers in these locations. The challenge, however, has so far been to find reliable solutions for such projects, which need solid project management, local know-how and high technical expertise combined. These locations are often complex both geographically and politically, why all sorts of precautions need to be taken at all stages of the project from design to delivery.
