The first annual award will recognize one individual for his/her direct contribution to overall wound care excellence in a post-acute care setting.

- Evaluation and implementation of new wound care products and services that ensure best practices and improves the quality of care.
- Participation in community-based education programs that promote and advance wound care and skin integrity best practices among the patient population.
