ATLANTA, Sept. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Corus360, a Converge Company, has expanded its IBM Power System capabilities with the addition of two new IBM iSeries engineers, Nicole Sheppard and Bill Anderson, and the purchase of additional Power Systems from IBM to support customer growth. Although many customers rely on IBM's Power System platform to run applications vital to their business, there is a current shortage of technical experts who specialize in its use. Considering the value of this platform to many customers, Corus360 made it a top priority to find people with the ability and experience to build and maintain an IBM Power environment.
"Many customers of Corus360's RES-Q™ Services division rely on IBM iSeries technologies to perform DR tests and recover in the event of a disaster. In addition to providing IBM Power hosting and recovery services, the new engineers will be working to support MIMIX, iTERA, virtual tape libraries, BRMS, and EVault backup solutions. The additions of both Nicole and Bill add over 50 years of combined AS/400 and iSeries experience to our Service Delivery team" stated Jim Fennelly, Director of PowerCloud Services at Corus360.
This addition allows Corus360 to expand its IBM Power System capabilities. Combined with its existing IBM Mainframe disaster recovery and hosting services, this enhances the company's ability to create outcomes for existing and future customers.
"Many of our RES-Q™ Services customers backup or replicate their IBM Power system data to our datacenter, and the addition of two resources alongside our recent IBM Power System purchase expands our ability to enable customers to achieve a higher level of resiliency," commented Steve Gruber, Vice President of RES-Q™ Services. "Our new hires reaffirm our commitment to the support of our domestic and international customers who are utilizing IBM's Power Systems, regardless of their size."
