FORT WORTH, Texas (PRWEB) February 22, 2021
The Coupon Bureau today announced the launch of a collaboration with CoupDog, a blockchain-powered digital incentive platform, to drive mobile coupon adoption for retailers. CoupDog is in the process of connecting several retailers and POS providers to the new Universal Digital Coupon, which empowers consumer mobile savings and mitigates coupon fraud. Additionally, CoupDog has been announced as a key member of The Coupon Bureau’s Accelerator team, a select group of industry technology partners working to drive adoption of universal digital coupons.
The Coupon Bureau (TCB), a non-profit, industry managed coupon data exchange platform, manages retailer-agnostic digital coupons for manufacturers. By partnering with TCB, CoupDog enables retailers to easily start accepting these valuable digital coupons. CoupDog does this through an easy-to-integrate set of APIs and pre-integration with most of the major POS platforms, significantly reducing costs and the need for retailers to use in-house IT resources.
As more and more universal digital coupon offers are distributed in 2021, retailers are eager to enable their validation & redemption capability to capitalize on this new promotional revenue stream. Furthermore, retailers are excited about accelerating digital adoption to meet the needs of the modern consumer, while relieving the administrative and fraud challenges associated with legacy paper coupons.
As part of this partnership, CoupDog will be launching a new ‘8112 Retailer Module’ that provides turn-key integration with TCB - making it easier, faster and less expensive for Retailers to start accepting, verifying and redeeming this new format. Additionally, CoupDog will be introducing a new ‘8112 Issuer Module’ to enable ease of offer creation, publication and distribution using this new format synced with the TCB.
“We are thrilled about this partnership with the The Coupon Bureau. As a not-for-profit organization, they play a vital role in modernizing the industry and facilitating a new era of innovation that benefits all stakeholders: Consumers, CPG Brands and Retailers. For CoupDog, this partnership further extends the innovation and value-added we deliver through our breakthrough platform,” said Rob Balfour, CEO CoupDog.
“Retailer adoption and integration is our key focus in 2021. At the same time, retailer IT resources are at a premium due to rapid deployment towards supporting new shopper behaviors. Our ongoing collaboration with CoupDog is important to ensure that Universal Digital Coupons get to consumers as quickly as possible while making it as easy as possible for our retail partners,” said Brandi Johnson, CEO of The Coupon Bureau.
