Courtney-Thorne; Sounding the Silent Alarm
(PRWEB UK) 26 February 2015 -- In 2014, Courtney-Thorne showcased its innovative range of nurse call solutions at The Care Show – Bournemouth and Health Care Estates for a fifth year running. Wireless nurse call specialists, Courtney-Thorne, are the UK’s leading provider in wireless nurse call systems. They have specialised in high quality, innovative systems since 1990, providing systems to NHS Trusts, private hospitals, local authorities and privately owned care homes.
The latest technology from the company, the 08 Wireless Nurse Call System, has become a UK market leader, growing increasingly popular with NHS hospital trusts and small care homes. The versatility of the solution offers an extensive range of options and accessories, featuring touch-screen technology and two way call acknowledgment providing absolute accountability and call tracking in one unit. With a modular and wireless design, the system can be reconfigured with ease to suit changing needs without any disruptions. Suitable for use as a bell or silent-based system, the 08 solution provides multi-zone flexibility with infra-red staff ID tags, wrist/neck pendants, Samsung WiFi phone integration and a range of accessories specifically designed for dementia care. The revolutionary 08 nurse call system is a call system like no other.
For smaller care home groups the Economy+ system uses the company’s CT-TOUCH screen to display calls, provide management information and is incredibly effective in responding to both residents and carer needs.
Additionally Courtney-Thorne has been exhibiting its cloud services at the shows which will also be a feature at The Care Show in November. CT-CLOUD is a unique nurse call data reporting and storage service, enabling real time secure access to the 08 Wireless Nurse Call System data via computer or tablet from any internet-enabled location.
John Polhill, Sales Manager at Courtney-Thorne believes that the silent nurse call function is a revolutionary improvement in call systems. For dementia patients bells and buzzes can be distressing and confusing, Courtney-Thorne recognised this and took on the challenge to create a nurse call system which had a ‘silent’ capability which when pressed. Instead of emitting any audible noise the system alerts staff via integration with pager, DECT phones, smart phone, touch screen displays and even over door lamps.
However, Courtney-Thorne also acknowledged how essential it is for the care teams to be able to locate patients and residents at the time of call. To ensure that each user is able to move freely within the care environment while still having the security of the system to hand, Courtney-Thorne developed the CT-WNP wrist and neck pendants - which can also be used in silent mode.
The company teamed up with exhibition stand designer Quadrant2Design in 2010 to produce their exhibition stands, this year will be their sixth year exhibiting using the Prestige Events System. John commented on their latest experience with Quadrant2Design ’Excellent throughout this experience – Please thank Arthur who was ready ahead of our agreed schedule. Much appreciated.’
Courtney-Thorne had a successful 2014 after exhibiting at Healthcare Estates; the show was an ideal environment for the company’s call systems to be showcase as the show focuses on quality in the patient environment. On the 4th-5th November the company exhibited at The Care Show in Birmingham on stand I64. The Care Show provides education, products and services to organisations responsible for the care of older people.
