CPCU Society Names 2019 President, President-Elect and New Leadership Council Members
The Institutes CPCU Society announced Jill D. McCook, MEd, CPCU, CLU, as president; Thomas E. Woods, CPCU, as president-elect; and five new members of the 2019 CPCU Society Leadership Council. The new roles were assumed on January 1.
MALVERN, Pa., Jan. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Institutes CPCU Society announced Jill D. McCook, MEd, CPCU, CLU, as president; Thomas E. Woods, CPCU, as president-elect; and five new members of the 2019 CPCU Society Leadership Council. The new roles were assumed on January 1.

McCook joined the CPCU Society Leadership Council in 2013 and has held many leadership positions during her 28-year career within the society and with State Farm. She is a recipient of the Richard A. Gerrond Award for leadership in the CPCU Society and the Rye R. Sharp Insurance Person of the Year Award for outstanding contributions.
Woods is assistant vice president of property underwriting for USAA Property and Casualty Company. He has held CPCU Society positions at both the chapter and society levels, including serving as the Pikes Peak Chapter president and on the Board of Governors and Leadership Council.
Responsible for defining policies and monitoring administration for the CPCU Society, the CPCU Society Leadership Council includes elected officers, elected and appointed council members, and ex-officio members. These are this year's newly appointed members:
- Carla D'Andre, CPCU is co-founder of D'Andre Insurance Group, Inc., the parent of two independent insurance agencies, and board member of Kingstone Companies, Inc. She is also the Founder and a Director of Pay Kids First Foundation, Inc. She chaired CPCU Society Insurance and Risk Management Interest Group and is also a committee director of the Reinsurance Interest Group.
- Donald M. George, CPCU, is Vice President of casualty and professional liability underwriting at Royal & SunAlliance Insurance Agency and has held several offices in the New York CPCU Society Chapter, including president. He was named the 2016 International Insurance Expert of the CPCU Society International Insurance Interest Group.
- Ann M. Murphy, CPCU, is director of business development for Markel Carrier Alliance. In this role, she has designed and delivered training programs on specialty products and other business insurance topics to thousands of insurance agents and commercial underwriters throughout the United States.
- Kevin M. Seward, CPCU, is claims project coordinator at Farm Bureau Financial Services. He is a past president of the CPCU Society Iowa Chapter and former chapter governor in the North Central region. Seward currently serves on the CPCU Society Diversity Committee and The Institutes' Board of Ethical Inquiry.
- Rita Williams-Bogar, MBA, CPCU, ChFC is founder of Personal Development Solutions, LLC, and PDS Institute, LLC. She is a platinum-level instructor for The Institutes and serves as executive director of the New Jersey CPCU Society Chapter, for which she has held several offices, including president.
