Cradlepoint, the global leader in cloud-delivered LTE and 5G wireless network edge solutions, announced today the addition of two new go-to-market executives that will play a key role in expanding the company’s leadership position along with ‘Pathway to 5G’ within the enterprise and public sector markets. Mark Pugerude joins Cradlepoint as the new chief sales officer and Eric Purcell as the new senior vice president of partner sales and alliances. Both Pugerude and Purcell bring more than twenty-five years of experience in enterprise networking, telecommunications, channels and strategic partnerships as well as as-a-service delivery models.

Mark Pugerude comes to Cradlepoint with more than 25 years of experience, having served as a senior executive for technology companies that serve both enterprise and service provider markets. Previously, Pugerude served as the chief sales officer at InfoVista, a leader in application intelligence solutions for SD-WAN environments. Previous roles include serving as the president of global sales for GENBAND, now Ribbon Communications, a cloud native and software-based communications platform, and senior vice president of marketing and product development at Broadwing Communications, a provider of telecommunications services acquired by Level 3 Communications, now CenturyLink.

Eric Purcell brings more than 20 years of technical sales and strategic partner management experience.
He joins Cradlepoint from Box, a leading enterprise cloud content management platform, where he led the global service provider channel sales team for more than five years. Immediately prior, he held several senior channel roles at Cisco including supporting Cisco’s Borderless Network Architecture in the Americas and AT&T partner sales.

“A shift to wireless is accelerating with a majority of organizations citing that Gigabit LTE and 5G is likely to affect their WAN roadmap,” said George Mulhern, chief executive officer at Cradlepoint. “Mark and Eric bring the right go-to-market knowledge and experience in enterprise, public sector and service provider realms that will help Cradlepoint and our channel and service provider partners capitalize on the wireless wave by providing customers with a Pathway to 5G.”
