Crossroads Addresses Growing Need for Co-Occurring Eating Disorders and Addiction Treatment

Crossroads' co-occurring eating disorder and addiction residential program provides women with a safe, structured, therapeutic environment where they can focus on their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health as they work through these co-occurring disorders. Eating disorders are more prevalent than some may realize with the Academy for Eating Disorders estimating that half of people with eating disorders also have a substance use disorder.
Residential treatment for co-occurring disorders allows women to connect with others who are going through similar issues as they engage in a variety of evidence-based therapies that address both conditions together. The fully integrated model of care empowers women to better understand how addiction and eating disorders impact one another and partner with treatment specialists to develop an individualized care plan to meet their needs.
At Crossroads, women are housed in a relaxed yet structured homelike setting where they can truly focus on making their health, well-being, and recovery a priority. Offering treatment for women by women, clients engage with a multidisciplinary team that includes master's-level clinicians, a registered nurse, a dietitian, a family clinician, and other support staff focused on providing safe, effective, personalized care for recovery.
The 30-day residential program encompasses a wide range of therapies including individual and group sessions, exposure-based therapies, motivational interviewing, CBT and DBT, nutritional counseling, and more. Women also participate in A Women's Way Through the 12 Steps, Seeking Safety, and Healing Trauma programs as part of their comprehensive care.

The eight-bed facility will provide 30-day primary residential treatment for women and have on-site staff 24/7.
