Curious Mouse Leaves Safety of His Home for Grand Adventure in Search of Food in New Children’s Book
BESSEMER CITY, N.C. (PRWEB) April 09, 2019 -- Some of the biggest quests are had by the smallest of creatures. In “Montrouse T. Mouse Junior: The Beginning of Adventure” (published by Archway Publishing) by Patricia Mott, a mouse leaves the security of his little hole in the wall to scavenge for food — and adventure. The book is available for purchase at: https://www.amazon.com/Montrouse-Mouse-Junior-Beginning-Adventure/dp/1480873500.
Montrouse Theodore “Trouble” Mouse Junior lives in a tiny, little secret home in the wall of Julianna and Katelyn’s house. Curious, and a little hungry, Montrouse ventures out of his house in search of food. Outside of his safe haven, he encounters a number of different dangerous situations and experiences with things such as a door, a cat, a mousetrap, an air conditioning vent and a toilet. A smart and courageous mouse, Montrouse realizes that although he knows a lot, there is more he can learn.
The story is one of perseverance. Despite landing himself into a number of sticky situations, Montrouse never gives up. Mott explains that the book teaches that “courage in the midst of trouble or difficulty is an important character quality, even if it seems like trouble follows you. Be prepared for the future. A new place can be an opportunity to learn new things.”
An excerpt from “Montrouse T. Mouse Junior”:
This is the story of Montrouse T. Mouse, / Who wandered away from his little house.
He could not get home or find his way back, / But he now had a new friend and no lack.
Ham and Mont shared a house and home, / Now they would not ever be alone.
Montrouse fell asleep and awoke the next day, / A new song in his heart that was there to stay.
